Need a better Wifi connection in a remote room

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)

Overall, the wifi connection is good. But i have issues when on zoom calls, and other apps with heavy audio/video.

The problem is when working in a room that is several rooms away from the cable modem/router.

How can I boost the wifi connection? I'm willing to throw some money at the solution.

I'm paying for high speed internet, have a high end router.

What do i need? A booster of some sort? A wifi adapter? thanks.

Get a WiFi range extender.

Try it. It will get the weak signal then boost it. You connect to the range extender with your computer's wifi.

If it does not work, put it in one of the rooms between you and the router and try that.

yes, there are. but a wifi extender, as far as i understand, works best half way between the room and router. if you put it in the room with the problem, the signal has to still travel all the way there, which is the problem to begin with

I appreciate the feedback. Wifi range extender is not a good option since there is not outlet between the router and that room.

Is a mesh network a good solution? Does anyone have specific makes/models that they have had good success with?
