How could I delete emails in the Mail app from a gmail account, directly with a swipe. If I swipe left on the gmail account on an email I have the following options: More, Flag, Archive. How to set Delete insted of Archive?

When swipeing left on an email, this is just on gmail accounts, on the yahoo there is the delete option. On Gmail there is no delete option, only archive. How can I just swipe left and delete the email?

andrei7even,

Apologies if we weren't clear before. You'll need to change the mailbox behavior from "Archive" to "Delete". Those steps can be found in the guide we shared above, under "Archive instead of delete". Here they are too, just in case:

  1. Tap Settings > Mail > Accounts.
  2. Tap your Gmail account, then tap Account [email address]
  3. Tap "Advanced" at the bottom
  4. Then, under "Move Discarded Messages Into" change to "Deleted Mailbox"

Delete and recover emails in Mail on iPhone

We hope this helps.

Cheers.
