Printer (HP5550dn) issues with MacBook Pro (Catalina)

Hi there,

I'm having a problem printing from my new MacBook Pro.

Some apps print with no issue (the music notation software Dorico is printing everything OK) but other apps (Pages, Preview, PDFElement) all print with lines and random graphics down the page.

Any idea what might be causing this?

I've attached a photo to show the issue.

Macbook Air can't print PDF files to HP Envy Printer Hi, I have a Macbook Air 13 inch, 2018 with macOS Catalina (10.15.2) I bought a HP Envy printer. However, I can't print PDF files, from any application like Numbers, Pages or anything else. The printer just spits out page after page, most are blank, some hav a few random characters on it. It prints JPG and other images just fine. Test pages print just fine, both from the printer itself, and the printer web page. The Macbook is commiunicating very well with the printer over the same wifi network. Both have been rebooted any number of times, with no change in behavior.

Xerox printer B210 not printing from my MacBooK Air My problem is the same as chemistry 48 who previously wrote in. My Xerox B210 printer which had worked flawlessly for me until I installed the current Mac OS Monterey, has not responded to any of the recommended troubleshooting ideas I found Apple support or Google. When I push print, it responds by spitting out 2-sided sheets of paper with odd symbols printed across the tops without stopping. I have to manually stop the process. Any suggestions?

SOLVED - it was a problem with the font installation.
