MacBook Trackpad Drawing

E.g. Drawing on PowerPoint

Rather than clicking on the trackpad to draw, is there a way to touch the trackpad while drawing?

From what I've read, some iPad versions do OK with the Sidecar (app?)

where it'd allow use of iPad as touch-screen. If that's anything your Mac

could do with some undisclosed 'iPad'. Older ones cannot hand-off.

Years ago when my dad started out, as a naturalist; with actual skills in

several fields, the college he worked with replaced all their electric type

-writers with early Mac computers. He didn't want one, but made it do

more than other instructors in the Kenai college, with theirs.

Input even with modern touchscreen (PC) computers isn't much better

than using a wired mouse; although my dad made some impressive early

digital originals (B&W) in the the 1980s by rollerball mouse.

However he ended up using tablets with higher end Macs. And publish

-ed a variety of his 'wildlife art' online where people could visit and

see reduced versions of those originals. And order printed/numbered

limited-edition prints, ready to frame. (mailed worldwide, in tube)

He and his wife did a business in a dedicated portion of their home.

So there are possibilities that with newer technology, hardware & soft

-ware can appear fairly well; and you don't need to pioneer anything;

while dad worked with a few software makers, to fine-tune products.

Of course with a background in natural sciences, art, biology; plus

various levels of photography, he sought better affordable tools.

The Scribble app needs a screen device (iPad/Apple Pencil) to use.

An example, found in duckduckgo search, of 'drawing on a mac

without a pencil or tablet - how to?' ~ didn't reveal much!!

By the way, we are all volunteers here and help when we have time. This is not Apple support and not an instant chat site. So you will get an answer if someone has time and has an answer for you.

If you have a laptop, then no, you cannot do what you want to do. You can check in System Preferences > Trackpad and/or Accessibility to see if there are any settings or options. That would be the only thing I could find.
