iPhone 11 proximity sensor has stopped working

Sensor has stopped working. It’s driving me mad as my cheek keeps hitting keys, mute, FaceTime and other contacts. Restarting hasn’t worked.

Hello Lemanie50,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! We understand you are experiencing some issues with your screen not turning off when in use due to the proximity sensor. We are happy to help provide some guidance on this.

Are you currently using any sort of case or screen protector on your iPhone? If so, does this same thing happen if you remove them?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own yet to try to resolve the issue? When exactly did you notice this behavior begin? Was it after any sort of update or change to the device?

Keep us updated!

Best Regards.
