Backup iPhone

Hi,

My phone would frequently back up to the iCloud. But now it’s not doing it at all, even if I hit the back up manually button in settings. It hasn’t been backed up since the start of the year and I don’t want to lose my valuable photos. Btw my phone is charging and connected to WiFi
