Wifi connection

I am having a recent issue with wifi connectivity on my iPhone 8 (on iOS 14.5.1). My router is an AirPort Extreme. My MacBook works fine and my spouse's iPhone (also on 14.5.1) and MacBook also work fine. The wifi on my iPhone shows it is connected on Settings tab with excellent strength (per AirPort check), but just doesn't seem to "connect" to the internet. I've tried resetting, restarting, forgetting, etc to no avail. I've tried connecting with Safari, Firefox and Brave with all the same results. I use a VPN, but those are stuck "connecting ..." as well.


Any thoughts?
