What is flat rate charge?

Hi, i’ve sent my Iphone on service on warranty, and out of curiosity i checked the status of it.

I saw a thing called FLAT RATE CHARGE, and i looked it up on google but found very little information about it.

Do any of you know what it is?

Flat rate charge? I have an IPhone 7 which experienced the “No Service” issue. When researched I found it was a known issue that can be fixed for free due to it being on Apples part. I had no damage on the phone, still nearly new, but while going through the repair before signing I noticed the $319. I was informed it was incase they found any other issues with the device and that it’s standard, but if the phone has no other issues it will be $0 but the system won’t allow them to do just a free repair. Is this normal? I normally go to my carrier where I have a repair plan but the Apple site states they cannot fix the issue.

iPhone 7 no service problem Apple advisor tell me that there is free charge of iPhone 7 no service program. But once repair, they charged me 347.4euros. There is no diagnostic report and no confirmation. And directly charged 347euros. Who can give me some suggestion to get refund, since the poor quality of iPhone is less worthy 347euros.

Does the iPad battery replacement include service fee? I have a iPad Air 2 and the battery is recently draining down faster than usual, I'm wondering if the Battery replacement fee comes with the Service Out-Of-Warranty Fee. Link to the Page: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/ipad/repair/service

flat rate is often used about an internet connection where how much data one use has no impact on how much one pay for it

I would guess that it's the basic charge for a repair to which the cost of the required spare parts will be added: but that is a guess.
