How do I add loops to Garageband?

Ever since I updated to Big Sur with the newest version of Garageband, I don't have access to the loops I created, like my podcast intro and outro. I just re-recorded them, but can't get them into "my loops." I've tried dropping and dragging, adding to the loop library folder, but nothing works.

I can "Add Region to Loop Library" but I can't seem to add something with 2 tracks, like my podcast theme with the voiceover.

In that case you would have to bounce the podcast theme with the VoiceOver as an audio file as a song on the disk, then import it to a different track and save the mixed region from the new track as a loop.

Exactly. You just have to take care, that the current tempo and signature of your project matches the tempo and signature of the audio file you are importing. GarageBand will use the project tempo and signature to file the audio clip as a loop. It does not matter for one-shot loops, but if you want to use the loops in other projects as real loops, that will automatically conform to the key and tempo of the project, you have to save them with the correct key, tempo, time signature, when you create the loop. And it should be aligned with the measures.

You have already solved your problem, I am posting this just for the benefit one who may have the same problem and comes across your question. The full instructions are here: https://help.apple.com/garageband/mac/10.3/#/gbndd0009b98

I guess I didn't describe my dilemma well. Before the latest update, I was able to import recordings I had made into the "iTunes" area of Garageband. That is where I kept my podcast intro and outro, so each time I recorded an episode, I dragged them into my new project. I can't do that anymore, or at least can't figure out how. I've saved them in mp3 format and thought I could drag them into "my loops," but it doesn't work that way.

My question is, is there any way I can put recordings I have made into the "my loops" section of Garageband?
