iPhone 12 20W USB type C adapter makes weird noise

My 20w charger makes a low subtle humming noise when plugged in a surge protector. I know my surge protector is not faulty, because i tested the adapter on another surge protector and it still makes the same noise. Also none of my other plugged in devices makes weird noise on those surge protectors. I want to know if this is normal
