ACER monitor not connecting

I'm trying to connect my ACER screen monitor to my MacBook air 13" screen but when I plug in the SATECHI ( via which the HDMI cable is plugged in to connect to the MacBook) the ACER screen just keeps connecting and disconnecting.

It's definitely nit the HDMI cable as I have 4 at home and they all give the same issue.

Is it possible that the SATCHI is the problem?

My acer is the EB321HQUCbidpx- 31,5 inch monitor 2560 x 1440 pixels - Quad HD Led

Hope someone can help me?

kind regards,

E.

Only certain types of adapters or cables would work between MB/Air

USB-C and the supplied cable or connector on an external display.

• Use external monitors with your Mac - Apple Support

Certain newer M1 Macs may not play well with lesser connectors.

Other later Intel-macs with different graphics, may also have issue.

This could imply a different adapter, cable, or display; may be an answer.

Perhaps to study specifications -- on quality upgrade displays, for clues.
