I'm writing a text on a website. I want to undo my last change, just like in any text editor and Chrome. Unfortunately, I couldn't find how to do such a fundamental task in Safari. When I press Cmd+Z, it opens the last closed tab instead of undoing the previous text change.

On my Mac ⌘Z works as you expect.
If I write inside a text box (like here, while replying to your post) and then invoke undo the last word is deleted. If a tab is closed while writing a text, Safari is smart enough to keep deleting the last typed word when undo is invoked (even though under Edit menu the Undo Typing turns in Undo Close Tab).
