Is Photos library from OS X Catalina compatible with OSX High Sierra?

I have a MacBook Pro with OS X Catalina that I have to return, but I want to keep all information, including Photos Library. I have Time Machine backup.

I'm going to use a MacBook Pro (13 inches, early 2011) with OS X High Sierra and I'd like to know if I will have some problem when I copy the Photos Library from the backup.

Best regards.

Luis.

No, it is not compatible I'm afraid. Each time a library gets upgraded it is not backwards compatible.

Best thing is to create a new library and sync the photos via iCloud Photos.
