iPhone 7 home button doesn’t work - can’t unlock phone

Hi, my MIL has given me her old iPhone 7 but the home button doesn’t work. This wasn’t an issue as I was going to just use the accessibility option however I have erased all the data to make it like a new phone again but this has now got rid of the little button on the screen to unlock the phone. Anyone have any ideas how to get into the phone now? It just says “Hello” on the Home Screen now & unlock to start.
