The photos icon has disappeared from my IPad home screen. I have tried the home screen reset this has not recovered icon. Can anyone suggest any other means of recovery. All photos and icon remain on iPhone and photos are still available in camera.

Check better if that icon has been accidentally moved to a different screen page or "hidden" into a folder.

Not been moved, I have used search in general settings and it does not come up.
