Can you connect a 2003 Cinema Display to a 2020 Macbook Pro?

Hi I bought a 2020 Macbook Pro last year and have a 2003 Apple Cinema display, the display worked on several older macbooks the last was 2011. I purchased an dvi to usb c adapter which works but when connected the monitor keeps blinking off and no. I updated the computer and turned it off and on. Any suggestions? I'd love to keep this monitor I know it's old but it worked fine until I purchased the new computer. Thanks in advance for your help.

Already try the option button while clicking display in system preferences but nothing seems to work to get the computer to now recognized the Dell AW 27 monitor.

MacBook to Cinema Display connection issues Hello Apple Lovers, I just connected my 2006 MBAir, using the built in thunderbolt port, to the DVI adapter that is just one of the 4 cables built into the 23" HD Cinema Display I have recently been gifted. The monitor immediately recognized & displayed the MBAir. However, I was unable to proceed any further. My laptop commands did not convey to the monitor. My goal is mostly to stream from laptop to monitor. Meanwhile, a message box has popped up on my laptop. It advises "USB ACCESSORIES DISABLED Unplug the accessory using too much power to enable USB devices." Which I have done. What is the next step necessary? I'm curious to hear any feedback before I gift this monitor to someone else.

HP Z27i doesn't see Macbook Pro Hi, I'm attempting to use an HP Z27i monitor with a 2019 Macbook Pro. Currently attempting the connection with a Cable Creation DVI adapter. When the connection is made, the Macbook Pro reacts and the screen changes to "look" like as it does when it's successfully connected to an external monitor. But then the HP monitor becomes unresponsive. HP says I have to replace the monitor, but I suspect it's a relatively easier fix than that -- except that I can't think of it. Any help greatly appreciated.
