MacBook Pro 16" kernel_task and overheating with external monitor

Whenever I connect the laptop to an external monitor with the lip open, the temps rise to 60-65 Celsius and fans go to max rpm.

After some time ( 15-20 mins ) kernel_task starts eating up CPU usage and the laptop grinds to a halt till I disconnect the monitor.

The issue repeats after connecting to the monitor again.

Tried SMC reset, still same issue. The laptop is fairly clean so dust isn't an issue.

It is also kept at a well ventilated place on my table.

I have seen many others also experiencing this same issue, we have to find some solution for this because it is crazy frustrating sometimes.

Verify you separate the charging and monitor cable to opposite sides and see if it makes a difference.

Ex, Charging on right side ports, monitor on left side.
