Constant bluetooth disconnections on M1 Mini

Using a M1 Mini with a brand new Apple extended, space gray keyboard. Every 30 minutes or so the Mini drops the bluetooth connection, then a few seconds later rediscovers it and reconnects. Sometimes it never reconnects, and I have to plug in a USB cable to get it recognized again. I've never had these many problems with an Apple keyboard / bluetooth. Is this a known issue with the new M1 machines?

USB 3.0 and USB-C external drives with poorly shielded cables can also cause Bluetooth and Wi-Fi issues.

Yes, very common -many threads here and on MacRumors.

Many users were able to resolve this by turning off your 2.4GHz router radio and using only 5GHz.

2.4Ghz is also used by your Bluetooth connection.

Or like me, I use a wired gigabit ethernet connection and turn off Wifi on my M1 Mini.

Never had a problem with my Apple wireless keyboard & mouse.
