Airpods Max: How to turn off automatic head detection on Apple TV?

Howdy. Does anyone know of a way to turn off automatic head/ ear detection for the airpods max on an Apple TV?

As headphones will, they make your ears warm, and itch occasionally; but move them half an inch to scratch and the stream pauses. This is disproportionately irritating, when it can be disabled on anything else easily enough.

There appears to be nothing in the Settings under Bluetooth; I've trundled through the rest and cannot find anything. Since the crown pauses anyway, what on Earth is this feature for in the first place? I'll pause meself there, before I go into a rant.

I'll look for the feedback page and report this, but given Apple's record of listening to complaints (they don't), not holding out much hope.

Cheers for any ideas folks,

Rob
