Apple TV color calibration with an iPad?

So I have an Apple TV 4K, but an iPhone 7, and apparently you need an Apple device with Face ID to make color calibration work. My iPad Pro seems to meet those specs- is there any way I can use it instead of a phone?

Or is there a way I can use someone else’s phone for this? I really don’t want to upgrade just for color calibration.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

The Color Balance feature has its companion widget in iOS, not iPadOS, so you will need an iPhone, as instructed.

The widget appeared automatically on my iPhone with the same Apple ID on the same network, so it seems it needs to be your iPhone.

While easy to use, it would be better to properly calibrate your TV, because now it only works for one connected device (Apple TV box). It measured that I had set my TV a bit more warm/red than the calibrated setting.
