4K TV won’t allow Colour Balance to work
I have a 4K TV using Apple TV 4K and the outline of the scanning box is too big compared to my iPhone pro max.
What am I doing wrong?

That’s fine. You should hold the iPhone inside the outline, specifically the scanner in the notch/dynamic island.
The outline size is shown as a percentage of the TV screen, so it will be bigger on larger screens, unrelated to the actual side of the iPhone.
How far do you get in the process? Did you get the message to hold it (still), very close to the TV screen, with the front facing the TV?
