Set parental control over Chrome

Due to virtual learning, most schools, including HISD in Houston, use Chrome to connect. Not knowing all the caveats and to get the kids up to speed in learning as quickly as I could, I set it up in my sons' Macs as soon as I could. However, later I discovered that Chrome does not seem to be regulated by Mac OS's parental control. As a result, my kids can play games on Chrome for as long as they want, even though the rest of the Mac is shut down. This can't be happening — how can Apple allow this to happen? Any solutions?

Apples parental controls is not advance enough to block video game websites as that would not be considered adult websites. The only way to block video game website is to set a list of allowed websites only.

@a Brody: Your link is about the general way of setting up parental control, which I know how to do. As said above, it does not work with Chrome, my kids are using Chrome for their games and school work well after "restricted" hrs when all Mac OS apps are shut down. Any contents accessed via Chrome is not restricted by parental control, which is why I started this question.
