Apple tv 3rd generation menu does not show up. I get a black screen with the Apple logo but the menu does not appear when selected on the remote. White indicator light on the Apple TV box flashes slowly and continuously.
I've restarted, unplugged, replugged, everything several times without any luck. Never had this problem before. Put a new battery in the remote too.
The continuously flashing status light indicates a failure to start up properly. If you already tried a restart, then the next step is to restore the system software with a fresh copy, through a computer. Restore your Apple TV - Apple Support
