Noise generated by the iMac after warming up.

What causes the iMac develop a buzz/hum that only stops when shut down?

What is the fix for a low buzz that develops after being operational for some time?

The iMac that is making the noise is less than one year old.

iMac 27″, macOS 11.3

iMac making noises, sounds like the fan My iMac is making loud noises, sounding like the fan, I cleaned the vents and did the two resets suggested below, the noises persist. I don't know what else to do, this is an IMAC 27 inch, late 2012, running 10.12.6, nothing big is open at the moment. It is worrisome

Just recived my new 21.5 iMac with fusion drive, and I hear a whirling noise, as if a disk was loading? Very disturbing??? Noise is totally unacceptable. Anybody aware of this problem with recent iMac purchase?
