Remove Bluetooth Device (AirPods) from iPhone without Deleting from Other Devices on Same Account

My son's AirPods continually try to connect with my iPhone and when I clicked "Forget this device" on my phone, it deleted the AirPods from all of the devices on our account. Is there a way to delete a bluetooth connection from a single device on an account?

Hello gmac218,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! We understand you want to delete a Bluetooth accessory from your iPhone without removing them from your other devices. We're happy to assist you with this. When you unpair an accessory from one device, it shouldn't automatically be removed from anywhere else:

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best Regards.

Hi gmac218,

This happens with Apple's AirPods are signed in with the same Apple ID as your iPhone, your AirPods seamlessly connect to whichever device you’re listening to.

Check out the section of the article that states "Switch AirPods back to your iPhone" to see how to keep your AirPods connected to your iPhone: Switch AirPods between iPhone and other devices

Take Care.
