Please please how do I turn Low Data Mode off PERMANENTLY. It’s a deal breaker frankly. Like IOS constantly turning the volume down..... It is so arrogant for an operating system to constantly override my wishes......

Every time iPad tethers to iPhone, it flags up “low data mode enabled”. This might have been useful in the days of dial up, but my iPhone has unlimited 50Mbps data. Just plain irritating.....
What you mention does not happen on devices that are healthy
No. It doesn't. It is not a "known issue".
Do a factory restore on the devices involved and test it.
If it still happens, make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

By definition they are not based on the symptoms you describe.

What’s the point of the option to turn off “low data mode”?
Because maybe when you AREN’T tethering you want to limit your data usage. Believe it or not, everyone doesn’t have unlimited data.
Of course, I understand that. But for those that do, I expect that me turning off “low data mode” to be the end of the conversation with my IOS devices, but apparently they know best.....
Yes, your cell service provider knows best because they are the ones controlling that.
I seriously doubt your contract covers Low Data Mode but read it prior to going in.
Read your contract all the way through, all the fine print. I think you will find that “unlimited” does not mean no limit, as a start.
