iPad M1 software compatibility

When the new iPad pro comes out with the M1 processor will it be able to run software that was originally made for the MacBook?

I’m wanting to run some video editing software such as Filmora Pro on the iPad…will that be possible?

iPad Pro, iOS 12

You have signed up into a, largely, Apple product customer/user to user technical support community.

We are, largely, just Apple product users, just like you.

No one here would know what Apple is going to do with the power of the MI iPad Pro models.

AND no one will know until Apple makes some software/product announcements at Apple's WWDC ( WorldWide Developers Conference ) coming on June 7, 2021.

The ONLY thing we users know that maybe coming, but still NOT officially announced, yet, by Apple is iPadOS 15.

And that is, basically, all of us users know for sure.

So, you will just have to wait until the beginning of June for Apple to make whatever announcements they make.

Sorry & Best of Luck to You!

I’ve kind of just gotten used to Filmora, but I see that LumaFusion may be a better fit for me, no bigger either way. I’m basically trying to figure out if I should order the iPad Pro with M1, or what would work best for my needs.

mom currently using a 2012 MacBook Pro 13” and she STRUGGLES. I’m sure anything would be a huge improvement, however I’m trying to get the most bang for my buck for portability, performance, and budget.

I can only assume the new iPad Pro would work well for editing hour long 4K video???

please excuse my ignorance. 😬
