Safari is not displaying any PDFs

Hello! Safari (14.1) suddenly stopped displaying PDFs on my iMac Pro 2017 (MacOS X Big Sur 11.3.1). For instance, when I click on a PDF online, it displays only a blank window or placeholder. If I try to download the PDF, there is only a blank file. I have also Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2021.001.20155) installed. What could be happening? Thank you!

Backup.

Uninstall Acrobathttps://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh2124

Quit Safari.

Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac.

It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility

And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and

the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.

Launch Safari holding the shift key down and test
