Hi,

If you have a SIM card on your iPhone, you should at least receive messages as ‘SMS’ (green bubbles)

To receive on your phone number iMessages, you have to activate iMessage in settings and check your iPhone number as I explained it.

If you don’t see your phone number, that means you didn’t associate your phone number with your Apple ID, as iMessage works with your Apple ID.

To add your phone number to your Apple ID:

  • Settings/Your Apple ID/Name, Phone Numbers, Email/Add your phone number and verify it
  • Once your phone number has been successfully added, go to settings/Messages/Make sure iMessage is activated and bellow iMessage click on send and receive.
  • You should now be able to see and check your phone number
