Can't access github.com on my mac but I can in other devices

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro using macOS High Sierra and I haven't been unable to access github.com on my Mac, these are the things I've tried:

access using different browsers
ping the website directly and got the response:

Request timeout for icmp_seq)

disabled and then uninstalled my antivirus
turned firewall on and off
using my phone data instead of my wi-fi.

I tried using other computers (macs and windows) and was able to connect with no issues.

I was also able to connect when I turned the VPN on my Mac.

Not sure what else I can try to troubleshoot this.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
