No "Forgot Passcode" option when trying to reset Sreen Time forgotten pw on ios 14

I am trying to reset my kids screen time and of course i have forgotten the passcode I used to set it. Following the steps above, in step 3, after taping "Change Screen Time Passcode" for the second time, the next screen (Step 4 above) has no "Forgot Passcode?" option!?

How else can I go about resetting this passcode?

I have a family sharing set where we share our iCloud capacity and the kids needs to raise a request to dl any new apps. Just in case that helps.

That usually happens if the screen time passcode is a holdover from an earlier version where it was the Restrictions passcode. Just to be sure you are following the steps correctly, watch this video:

Hi, thanks for trying to reply.

What you shared is how to circumvent the DEVICE passcode if locked after many wrong attempts and it involves ERASING your data! It is a bit too drastic for what I asked I think:

My question is about resetting the SCREEN TIME passcode when there is no "Forgot Passcode"!!!

Can you please read my question again and help???

Yup thats the process I talked about in my 1st post.

At this step, the keyboard (that you'd use to enter the 'old screen time password" is there at the bottom of this screen and the "Forgot Passcode" is missing totally (or behind the keyboard, I cannot tell, no way to move the keyboard out of the way).

Indeed I looked up the 'Restrictions Passcode" you mentioned and the screen looks identical to what we are facing with no "Forgot Passowrd" link....

Can we not upgrade this older version of the Screen Time app to reflect what you shared in the video?

I will try it if nothing else works.

BUT, is there a way we can re-surface the missing "Forgot Passcode" in the Screen Time app?

This is the next step If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

If there is no Forgot Passcode the only solution is to restore the phone to factory settings and not restore a backup. Set up the phone as new→Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
