App Limits override by Downtime/ Screen Time settings

Hi

I have set up Screen Time and Down Time for my son's iPhone.

However, there is a phenomena when the limits of an app has not reached its max yet for the day, while the phone is in down time, and you activate the app - it asks you to "ignore limit for today" and the app can be launched while all other apps are still in down time mode controls.

Not sure if this is something iOS 14.x.x should be working on?

thanks!

Thanks much LD150... my son is 16 and they have faster and more ways to go around these stuff than the rate of hair that is falling off my head.

it works most of the time... esp when they over use the tools presented to them for ease of use in school and for communications with friends, teachers in these restrictive times.

just some of these little corners where that fast curve balls comes from needs to be watched and handled in order to keep some of them on the right path even though they do know its not the right path where they venture into.

Some paths can be ventured to learn a life lesson... some others are just a little too "interesting" to ride.

Hope all will continue to be well with you and family, stay safe and take care...

thank you.
