If I purchase a Apple Series 6 watch in Taiwan, can I eventually switch the cellular plan in the USA?

I tried to search online for the answer but if someone can shine some light on this. If I purchase a Series 6 Apple Watch in Taiwan, will I be able to connect it to a new cellular plan in the USA if I make the move back? Thanks!

No.

There are 2 Apple Watch cellular radios

• Canada, U.S. Mexico, Puerto Rico

• The rest of the world

Carriers will not attempt to connect to an Apple Watch that does not use the correct radio.

If you do not get your Apple Watch in your own country, you may have to return the Apple Watch to the country where purchased to get warranty service.

If you do not get your Apple Watch in your own country, there may be country specific restrictions in the installed Apple Watch software that prevent features from working when you get home.

Differences in Watch functionality between countries depends largely upon if it is a cellular or GPS-only model, and then to the degree your iPhone and Watch work with the cellular services in the places where you are using your hardware. This is discussed in this topic --> https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252732160

Apple Watch - Carriers - Apple - https://www.apple.com/watch/cellular/

"To cover the LTE and UMTS bands used around the world, there are two separate models for Apple Watch Series 5, and three for Apple Watch Series 3.2 They have been optimized for use in the country of purchase, and not all models work in all countries or regions. There is no single model that supports roaming worldwide. To see which carriers in your country or region offer cellular service for Apple Watch, refer to the chart below."
