iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) - CPU Machine Check Architecture Error with external monitor

Some time ago i bought new iMac 27 5k to replace my macbook pro 2013

I used my macbook with external display and all was ok, but when I have tried to connect external display to my iMac after few time it reboots with kernel panic. I contacted with Apple support but after long time of discussion and different exercises they said that problem is with my display or usb-c adapter. Today I bought new display and new adaptor in certified shop and met the same problem - after few time working iMac reboots with kernel panic.

Here is the last log:

If this 2020 iMac is still under warranty, or is under AppleCare, contact Apple.

Machine checks and panics and CATERR catastrophic errors tend to be low-level software problems, operating system bugs, or bad hardware.

Here’s a pretty good sequence for evaluating these:

If your Mac restarted because of a problem - Apple Support

In this case, post the EtreCheck data (as an attachment added to a posting here) on the off chance there’s some problematic app here, but I;d suspect either bad Mac hardware, a low-level Apple driver problem, or a bad adapter. Of these, swapping the adapter, cable, and then monitor are probably the easiest to test.

Finding a pattern makes resolving these cases easier.

If applying any available updates for apps and for macOS, and if swapping hardware including swapping that adapter and cable doesn’t resolve this, then contact Apple Support.

Thank you, I have some ideas but before I suggest them please do the following:

Please navigate to www.Etrecheck.com and download the free version of EtreCheck. Once you have you downloaded the app and installed it, please run the report and save it. This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.

When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.

For instructions on how to download your EtreCheck report and attach it to your reply to this message please click https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250000211
