Apple needs to include online deliveries into its promise of premium consumer experience

Ordered from Apple India online.

It rained heavily in Gurgaon, India today. I expected the scheduled delivery to be late as a result. But the third party courier called and gave a pretty made up reply of getting into a bike accident while delivering because of the rain. He said he will deliver it tomorrow. Who recovers from an accident in less than a day? And why was my MacBook being delivered on a bike in the rain, risking both the courier and the package that he was delivering? What if the MacBook actually arrives damaged now?

I was fine with the delay being attributed to the bad weather, but the reason seemed made up.

Also, would feel better if the Mac was being delivered in something else besides a bike in the rain or any other kind of weather.

I found some other irregularities too with the courier which has made me anxious about my MacBook arriving in one piece. Especially how the link to reschedule delivery was not working at all. What if they fail to deliver again and say I didn’t reschedule?

Apple definitely needs to make online shopping experience as good as in store shopping, given the current times especially.
