Transferring my information from MacBook Air to new MacBook Pro takes how long?

I've been using migration assistant, and it looks like I set it up right.

My old says "Transferring Your Information Information is being transferred to your new Mac.

My new one says, "Transferring your information; Information from "Cynthia's MacBook Air" is being transferred to this Mac"

But it has been taking more than 24 hours! This does not seem right! I bought this new computer to work on an important presentation. It's killing me it is taking so long!
