My music won’t download

It says it’s downloading but the progress bar is frozen. This is only happening with songs that I have imported from CDs, all the songs that I bought digitally are okay. I don’t use Apple Music, I want to be able to listen to my music from CDs but I can’t. I have followed the advice and have restarted my phone, also I have plenty of storage and my wifi is fine. As you can also see it’s not showing my full Arctic Monkeys album, which was there on my old phone.

Hello, ahumblebeing. Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

We know that being able to access your entire music library is important to you and we’re happy to help you find out what could be causing this issue with your imported music.

From what we gather, you are seeing this issue only with songs that you have imported from your computer. In a situation like this, we would suggest that you attempt to sync you iPhone with your computer again to copy the music library over.

The following Apple Support article explains how you can sync your iPhone with the music library on your computer. The steps will be different depending on if you are using a Mac, or Windows PC:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support

We hope that these steps allow you to access your entire music library again.

Cheers!

Thank you for sending us a reply, ahumblebeing. We’re happy to help you more with your device.

From what we gather, it sounds like you will want to confirm that the latest iOS update is installed as the next step. When installing the update using your computer, please be sure to follow the steps in this Apple Support article:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Please let us know if you are able to access your music library and iCloud account once the device updates have been installed.

We look forward to your reply.

Enjoy!
