Why won’t YouTube movies play on my Apple TV device? Anytime I try to play a free movie it says there’s an error

YouTube stopped supporting the 1st and 2nd generation in May 2015.

YouTube stopped supporting the 3rd generation in March 2021.

YouTube on Apple TV now requires a 4th generation or later model.

Because Youtube quit supporting it years ago. Have you considered it is close to 15 years old and has well outlived it's life. Have you considered getting a new Apple TV, they're only $179.00 for the 4K model.
