Hi there! My Magic Keyboard (latest one, connected to my iPad Pro) does not type properly. Every once in a while, it just refuses to type anywhere. I don’t think it’s a connectivity issue, because the trackpad still works perfectly fine, and I can even use command + tab to switch between tabs while it’s refusing to type. It’s like it’s randomly choosing to ignore any input from keys when I’m typing. Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks for checking for the software update. Our next step would be to either test the keyboard on another device or another wireless keyboard on the iPad. This will allow us to isolate the issue to either the iPad or keyboard specifically.

Have you tested the keyboard on another device to see if it is the same? Lastly, have you tried restarting the iPad using the steps here: Restart your iPad to see if it resolves the issue?

Thanks for getting back to me! The issue does occur on multiple apps, the entire operating system actually (I've tried in apps like Word, Spotlight, Settings, etc.). I don't have another compatible device to test the keyboard on so I, unfortunately, don't know if it's specific to this iPad. It appears that restarting my iPad fixes the issue temporarily, but then it comes back randomly.
Just checked, and it looks like my iPad is up to date.
