Bluetooth volume too high

I’m using Marshall monitor Bluetooth headphones but when I am trying to listen to music at night it is too loud. The lowest volume setting seems to be missing from the slider. I don’t have this issue when using my headphones on devices that aren’t Apple. I’ve screen shot the point at which the volume cuts out on my headphones.

I’ve tried the other suggestions including changing the EQ for ‘music’ (I want to use soundcloud, so I don’t think this does anything overall), reducing the ‘loud sounds’ to the max settings - this makes minimal difference (not enough to listen comfortably) and making the sound mono (this doesn’t do anything to the overall volume)

Help would be really appreciated as I love using these headphones, but the sound is unbearable at night.

thanks.
