Installing Snow Leopard from a disc bought from Apple, the installation can’t completes and installation disc can’t be ejected, I tried all the suggestions I find in this community related to ejecting a stuck disc but the disc still in. Seems like computer is reading the disc but at the same time is installing El Capitan from internet wi-if connection. The message it displays reads “OS X could not be installed on your computer. No packages were elegible for install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again. someone have had the same situation? This is a MacBook 13-inch Aluminum(late 2008) Intel. Thanks.

The CMOS/PRAM battery may need replacing. This can create many problems.

If you notice any bulging of the computer, the battery itself used for backup power may need replacing before it damages something.


http://www.binaryfruit.com/ DriveDX is able to evaluate the health of the hard drive. Backup your data, and make sure your drive is healthy before upgrading.


Note, any older PowerPC software that uses the Rosetta mode is not compatible with El Capitan, or anything later than Snow Leopard.
