Apple watch raise to wake not working

For a couple days my raise to wake has not been working. I’ve checked other people’s questions trying to troubleshoot on my own but I’ve been hitting dead ends. My wrist and button orientation are correct, I do not have theater mode on, and my watch is set to wake when I raise my wrist. It still doesn’t work and I’m not sure what else could be the problem. I’ve only had the watch since December so I’m surprised to already be facing problems like this.
