How to change Incorrect Apple ID in Apple Store

The Apple Store on my iMac indicates I have an update.

I go to the store and select Update All.

It presents a dialog box with the password field active.

However the Apple ID field that is inactive (faint grey) shows my wife's Apple ID.

#1 Can I find out how my wife's ID got there?

#2 Though it shows that I'm signed into the Apple Store with my Apple ID, it presents this dialog box with my wife's. And if I sign out of the store and sign back in the same thing happens. Really weird.

I decided to click on the "forgot Apple ID or password". It asked me to confirm all my account info including credit card and then said they would inform me in a couple of days. Very odd.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

1. One or more of the applications you're trying to update has her Apple ID stored inside it.

2. It's getting the Apple ID from there.

3. Delete and redownload it.

Thank you. Very helpful.

However, it now presents me with a different problem.

The Apple Store is trying to update an application that is on my wife's CCC backup on my external drive. That drive holds our daily clones.

I need to find a way to stop the Apple Store from searching on other than my internal HD. Hmmmm. Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks again.
