Why is the calendar app changing the time of my event?

I have googled this and can’t seem to find any information. I’m using an iPhone 7 running iOS 14.4.2. For some reason whenever I create an event in the calendar app, once I have finished entering the details and saving it, it automatically changes the time to 4 hours earlier. (i.e. I create an event to start at noon, it changes the start time to 8am.) It is linked to my Google calendar, however when I create events in Google Calendar from a web browser this doesn’t happen. I have turned time zone override on and off and it doesn’t matter, the time of the event is always pushed back 4 hours. Any ideas?

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Greetings Brettyv!

Looks like you had some questions about why some Calendar events are being set for the wrong time. We want to help! First try checking your date and time settings to make sure your timezone is correct. You can do that in Settings > General > Date & Time.

Next check to see if "Time Zone override" is enabled in Settings > Calendar.

We hope that helps! Take care.

Yes. Time zone is correct and time zone override is on. Just tried it and still happens. One thing I note is that it seems to be happening to events I had already created and left as “all day” and then went back and changed to a specific time. If I create a new event from scratch and enter the time it stays. If I edit an existing event it automatically changes the time to 4 hours earlier. Then if I edit it a second time it stays. I’m completely stumped here.

Why is the calendar app changing the time of my event?
