AirPods Pro and lossless audio
Will the AirPods Pro Bluetooth connection to lossless give you audio above 256kb aac or will it be 256kb max?

AirPods and Bluetooth do not support hi resolution audio.
No.
Apple’s official statement:
I really don’t know about iPhone and AirPods, but I’ve connected AirPods Pro to MacBook Pro (early 2015), in MIDI settings you can set 24bit/48 kHz output settings. Listening to such music (I’ve got it downloaded in hi-res, played through vlc player, assuming similar process with Apple Music application for Mac and lossless release in June) actually sounded way better than listening to aac streamed from Apple Music. I hope this partly answers your question.
Yes I understand that, but wondered if they would sample at a higher bit rate than the currently do? So if current iTunes is 256kb, lossless is 1400kb, but Bluetooth can support say 700kb, will we get a higher quality compressed stream using AirPods if the music on the device is lossless?
Again, thanks for the reply but that’s not what I’m asking. I know I can’t get lossless, I’m just asking if higher bitrate files on the phone will allow better quality lossy streaming to AirPods than we get currently.
