How to tell if a Friends Activity is Hidden or it is a Glitch?

Friends activity app data was visible previous evening, but this morning there were no rings, nothing whatsoever, not even ZEROs where it usually shows rings and the updated numbers. When I clicked on this friends name to look at their updates it was basically a blank screen (see attached pic) with the date and out of the four options: compete, hide notifications, hide activity, and remove friend - only hide activity and remove friend were available to me. Does this mean this friend hid their activity from me the previous evening/ this morning?
