Quicken for MacBook Air 2020

I have to assume many Mac users choose Quicken Deluxe for personal software but I can find very little on Google or Intuit (Quicken’s owner) or in my community search here. Is their some incompatibly that I’m not aware of? TIA for any info.

Quicken is no longer owned by Intuit. They sold it about 5 years ago. The result has been, in my opinion, a significantly improved Quicken on Macs. I have used the "Starter" version for several years and am very happy with it and with Quicken support. I currently run it on a MacBook Pro but previously ran it on a 2012 MacBook Air.

I am not aware of any current issues or limitations in running Quicken Deluxe on a current MacBook Air but if you are concerned, you may want to also check in the Quicken for Mac user forum: https://community.quicken.com/categories/quicken-for-mac

You can purchase Quicken Deluxe for Mac with a 1 year or two year subscription. After the subscription is up you can still use Quicken but you just won't get the automatic updates as time goes on. I opted for the 2 year subscription as it's a bit more economical. They are having a sale on it currently.

It is compatible with Big Sur, 11.4. In the little over a year that I've had it there have been about 3 updates.

You can get more info on it and purchase it here.

To the best of my knowledge Quicken no longer sells non-subscription versions.

Also, when I go to Amazon's Quicken Store, all I see are subscriptions and when I search for Quicken Deluxe on Amazon (outside of the Amazon Quicken Store) and look for non-subscription options, they are all 7 or 8 or more years old.

Without knowing exactly what the purchased item is, I can't say what is possible other than to make a general statement that it is possible to run Windows software on Macs but it is not something that I would do just to run Quicken and there are costs ($ and complexity) involved. Also I have no idea what performance would be like on 2020 MacBook Air. To address last two posts: forget current Quicken I have on Windows laptop. I am a retired CPA and am a Quicken expert on accounting, reports, search, etc. have used it since Money went away around 2000ish. Have never had a Mac computer but this last Dell convinced me I should.

I have no idea what Big Sur is; I assumed Mac laptop ran IOS. So I’m a true newbie but catch on fairly quick bit sounds as if Quicken runs better on Windows than Mac. I may run Windows parallel on Mac laptop if Mac version of Quicken doesn’t meet my satisfaction. Not looking forward to converting my files/programs to Mac.
