MacBook Air Water Damage

I spilled a copious amount of water on my laptop last night and Im at a standstill of how to proceed next. I quickly dried off the keyboard and any excess water that dripped out. I also sat my laptop in a tent position in front of a small fan for any internal water to dry. Its now been 24 hours and my laptop still turns on but I am afraid to cause any further damage. Online says that liquid damage is not covered by Apple’s year long warranty so I have yet to take it into the physical Apple store. What should I do next? Is it fine to use?

That is correct: the one year factory warranty does not cover accidental damage.

Despite that, you should not use it and open a repair ticket with Apple to have them examine the damage to see how extensive it may be.

Unfortunately, water and electronics do not mix. Take it in promptly.
