Unable to add wife to Apple Card Family

If now helped quite a few people with this issues and this is what has worked so far. I made a detailed post several days ago with step by step instructions if you want to search for it.

Here are the basics. All the people to date have not had Apple Cash enabled for the new co-owner/applicant. This has proven harder to do for some.

1) Make sure the iOS is 14.6 or higher and install any updates.

2) Restart iPhone

3) Log out of spouses iCloud account

4) Restart iPhone & log into iCloud with spouses Apple ID and password

5) add Apple Cash to Wallet app

6) restart iPhone.

7) Restart you iPhone

8) Go to your wallet app and invite spouse.

If still grayed out, post back.

You can try just adding Apple Cash to his wallet app. This didn’t work for most people I helped, but it worked for one or two. Apple Cash has to be available so he can get cash back. The cash back, 1%, 2% or 3% is paid daily and goes to Apple Cash. There may be a simpler way but I haven’t been able to figure it out.

Have you tried just restarting your phone? Have you started a Chat/Message with Apple Card specialists? Open your wallet, tape the Apple Card, tap the circle with 3 dots in upper right corner, tap Message Button on left side near top, type message.

Make sure her iPhone is on the latest iOS, 14.6.

My husband and I both have iOS 14.6, but he is listed as unavailable for sharing. Other potential fixes?

We have the same problem. All of our Macs, iPads and iPhones are updated to the latest OS. However, when I try to add my wife to my Apple Card, I am told she is unavailable.

Thank you, but frankly, this isn’t worth it to have to mess with my husband’s iPhone. Until Apple makes this easier, we’ll continue as is.
