2021 iPad Pro 12.9 5th gen screen problem?!

Some sort of ‘‘X&Y Axis’’ visible under screen when display is off as well as a giant “X” extending from each perspective corner. You can see this under light fairly easy. When in Portrait mode about 1 inch from the left edge in there’s a light gray line seemingly under the screen extending the length of the device. There’s a horizontal line an inch from the bottom extending across as well. A thicker X can be seen extending from all corners. This is all visible when the device is powered off. Is this by design or what’s goin on here? I noticed this while cleaning smudges off the display thinking it was a scratch at first but it turned out to be a perfect line extending the length of the device so I looked and found more… anyone know if this is a layer in the displays or what?

Thanks!

I can’t say that I can replicate your observations - but I’ll ask a perhaps obvious question…

Is the performance of your screen affected in any way, or the perceived structure visible, when the iPad and screen is powered-on?

If the answer is yes, then you would be well advised to return your iPad to your retailer promptly for exchange/replacement.
